What do these mean?

Mount St Michaels School Values

Listed below are the seven values which underpin and are reflected in the life of the school. We believe that these values reflect our ethos as a catholic school. We aim to work in partnership with parents to nurture and develop these values in our children so that they grow up happy and well adjusted young people. The values we aspire to are below with a brief summary of how we may see them through the life and work of the school:

Honesty

Telling the truth, owning up when something has gone wrong, developing good, honest relationships.

Acknowledgement

Saying and receiving thanks, recognising good effort and intentions.

Inclusiveness

Valuing each individual, recognising all talents and developing a sense of belonging to the school community..

Forgiveness

Understanding that we all have a worth as individuals even if some of are actions are hurtful.

Care

Establishing school and class environments where staff, pupils and parents feel valued and loved. We look after others.

Respect

Developing positive relationships between all members of the school community, looking after property, valuing the ideas of others..

Trust

Developing trust through actions and words, being able to seek advice, recognising openness and transparency.
