Solihul approach for parents and guardians

30th Aug 2024

Dear Parent/Guardian

The opportunity has arisen for some of our staff to offer informative sessions on ‘Understanding your child’s behaviour’.  These sessions are a Solihull Approach for parents/guardians/carers who want to know more about parenting and how children develop, and to understand children’s behaviour better. The sessions will be delivered by Mrs Meshida and Mrs Johnston who are fully trained in the Solihull approach.

  • Would you like to know more about your child’s development?
  • Do you understand your child’s behaviour?
  • Would you like a chance to meet with other parents with children of a similar age?
  • Do you know why children have temper tantrums?

For those wishing to sign up the following issues will be explored:

o   Having fun together

o   Communication

o   Development needs

o   Parenting styles

o   Behaviour difficulties

o   Sleep

The group will run for 2 hours twice a week for 10 weeks.  Groups will not run during any school closures.  The sessions will run from either 4-6pm or 6-8pm, depending on the times that best suit parents.

This is a great opportunity for you to get valuable support with parenting and I would encourage you to participate.  Numbers will be limited and places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

If you would like to participate please sign up by emailing your interest to: gcarville848@c2kni.net

Yours sincerely

Geraldine Carville
