Information for P7 Parents

Dear Parents,
We hope you and your families are settling into the new academic year. The following should help answer some of the questions you have about P7.
Homework
Homework will be given out and handed in on a Friday. This year P7 are returning to paper versions of homework and Google Classroom will no longer be used. Homework will consist of:
P.E
P.E days are Tuesday and Friday. Our initial lessons will be on Hurling and Rugby.
Theme
Our first Theme of the year is entitled 'IMPACT'. We will be learning all about climate change and how human activity impacts on the environment. The children will complete a research project based on this topic later in the term (details will follow).
Usernames and passwords
Please find your child's username and passwords attached to their Maths homework book. These will include:
School Website
The school website is up and running. We will update the P7 area regularly. Please refer to the parent section for newsletters, dates, dinner menus etc.
Parent Teacher Meetings
As you know the P7 P.T.M are scheduled to begin on the week beginning 7th October. These meetings will be face to face. We look forward to seeing you all then.

- Written work - Maths, English and Spellings.
- Learning homework - Spellings and Maths Facts (these will be tested every Friday)
- Reading - children should be reading from their AR books every night. Targets for this half term have been set and boys and girls should be working towards these.
