Fundraising by the McStay Family
7th Oct 2024
Our school would like to say a big well done to the McStay family for their fantastic fundraising efforts. On Sunday September 29th there was a walk at Stormont to raise money for the Children's Cancer Unit in the Royal Victoria hospital in Belfast. Following a discussion about children's charities, Caoimhín said he would like to raise some money and he was signed up for the Stormont Mile and he set about fundraising.
Together with his family, they went to Stormont on Sunday and his daily mile in school served him well and he ended up running the mile. He has raised the astonishing amount of over £1,100 in only a few days. All of this money will go directly to the children's cancer unit.
Caoimhin's brothers Conall and Ronan also joined him on the walk. The boys also met Ciara Mageean and got to wear her European Championship gold medal.
