Today some of our Primary Seven girls and boys attended the Cumann na mBunscol Cross Country Run held at St Benedict’s College. It is great to see how our daily participation in The Daily Mile has helped these children develop their stamina, athleticism and love of running.
Mr Lavery and Mrs McMullan were bursting with pride as the children encouraged one another around the track to finish the race.
Despite strong competition from other schools, we are delighted to report that we came second in both the girls and boys team events. We were also very happy that Daniel was the third boy home.
Whilst medals are lovely to receive, it is not the reason we participate in events. Developing a love for sport and learning at your own pace is key to success. We are proud of all the children who try to run The Daily Mile and look forward to watching their running journey continue.
